The question we're asked most. Here's exactly what to bring us — the fabric, the length, and how to prepare it — so your turban looks its best on the day.
The short answer
8 metres of full voile, doubled, seam in the middle.
Buy 8 metres of full voile
Ask for full voile (not half). Eight metres is the right length for a full wedding-day turban with generous pleats and a clean, tall finish. Don't worry about the exact length — we can always cut the fabric down to your face size on the day of.
Get it doubled
Have the fabric doubled — folded and joined so you're tying a double layer. Doubled voile holds its shape, sits richer in colour, and pleats far more crisply.
Run a seam down the middle
Make sure the shop runs a seam down the centre of the doubled length. The centre seam keeps both layers travelling together so the pleats stay even from start to finish.
Wash it at least once
Wash the fabric at least once before the wedding — a regular wash is fine. Fresh-off-the-roll voile carries factory starch, which makes it slippery and hard to set.

Always wash the pagg once
Never tie a brand-new, unwashed pagg on the wedding day. One regular wash softens the fabric so it grips, folds and holds.
Already used for the trial?
If we've done your trial, give the pagg one quick dip in regular water afterwards — no detergent needed. That's enough to release the set pleats.
Hang dry indoors
Hang it to dry inside, away from direct sun. Indoor hang drying pulls the wrinkles out on its own, so you don't need to iron it.
Bring a fifty you like
Get a fifty (under-turban) in a colour of your choice to tie underneath the pagg. It sets the base shape and makes the final turban sit cleanly.
